Wow! Wil Wheaton answered my question via Slashdot about his voice acting for Aqualad on the Teen Titans series.
He gives a great behind the scenes look at the process of voice acting, and it seems a lot different than I would have thought. I also thought I would dislike Wil’s voice as Aqualad, but he does a very good job and I actually look forward to Aqualad episodes. He’s almost cooler than Robin on the show.
