Last week seemed to be a great week for comic books for me: new issues of Birds of Prey, Teen Titans, Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes, X-Factor, Nextwave, Checkmate, Shadowpact, and Secret Six, among others. I spent nearly $50, which is far and away a lot more than I’ve spent in a long long time on comics.
The irony, of course, is that while I’ve had time to read most of last week’s comics, my day job has decided to become extremely busy, which means I won’t get a chance to actually do any reviews of the above titles until the current insanity has abated. And who knows when that might be.
I will mention that if I had to pick a couple of clunkers from last week, they would be 52 which should be hitting a stride soon before I drop it, and The American Way, which seemed just a little too heavy-handed.
