Okay, time to list the comics I will be buying this week in order of bad to good, based upon nothing other than previous performance, guessing, and maybe cover images. As usual, the top of the pile are filled with the comics that I think will not be very good, with the better comics on the bottom. On Thursday, we’ll see how close I got.

- Brave New World #1: Anthology comics are usually 3/4ths bad and I suspect this won’t change that. Plus, the Martian Manhunter gets a new costume. That never works well.
- American Way #5: This mini-series isn’t really bad, it’s just not very good. I’m hoping that the last few issues end the series strongly, though.
- 52: Week Eight: Okay, going by the 3/4ths rule again, this issue has to be good, since the last three were pretty sub-standard.
- Nextwave Agents Of Hate #6: Nextwave is like sex. It’s fun and exciting, but then the five minutes is up and your wife is asking “Finished already?”
- Supergirl And The Legion Of Super Heroes #19: Dependable superhero fun.
- X-Factor #8: I’m taking a big chance on Peter David. This is listed as a Civil War crossover: that means if this comic requires me to buy the parent crossover event, then it’s the last issue I buy. But Peter’s been remarkably good about crossovers in the past.
Join me on Thursday to see the final order!
