Okay, let’s see what’s out this week, from what might be bad to what might be good.

- Supergirl #7: Late late (and, according to the DC site, both #7 and #8 are coming this week? That seems weird). I’m only getting this because I’m a Nightwing and Flamebird fan.
- 52: Week Nine: Another four-week cycle begins. The next four issues really need to improve, or I’ll be dropping at Week Twelve.
- Teen Titans #37: I never thought I’d be enjoying the Titans as much as I have been.
- Atom #1: It’s a Gail Simone week! Yay! I can’t say that the Atom preview last week did much for me, but there are certain creators I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
- Detective Comics #821: Paul Dini takes a shot at the Bat. I have high expectations for this.
- Secret Six #2: Gail’s second comic this week. I enjoyed #1 very much and I’ve got no reason to think that #2 won’t be just as good.
I’m also picking up Manifest Eternity for my wife. She’s got issue #1 stashed away somewhere, so I haven’t read it yet, so I’m leaving it off the list. I also am likely to pick up Showcase Presents The Elongated Man so that I can read it before other blogs start posting out of context panels from it.

I liked this “last comic in the pile” format– posted it on the Fangirl blog today!
