Small week for me, so a short post. Yay! As usual, here’s how I think this week’s comics will rank, from worst to best:
- Nightwing #122: DC lists this for this week, but ComicList doesn’t show it. Maybe it’s delayed while Bruce Jones looks for a plot.
- 52: Week Ten: I had high hopes for this comic, but it never gets anywhere near the bottom of the pile. It’s got three more issues to improve, or sayonara.
- Green Lantern Corps #2: The first issue was ‘eh’ but hopefully some momentum will build up.
- Firestorm: The Nuclear Man #27: Heidi, at Comics Fairplay, is right: just look at that beautiful cover. If the writing is even half the quality of the cover, it’ll still be great.
This week is definitely Firestorm’s to lose. It’s also a rare chance for 52 to land in the bottom half of the pile in the final standings. See you late Wednesday!

The Firestorm cover looks like one of those X-Men “Care Bear moments” when everyone on the group links their life/love force together to save Jean from the Phoenix.
