Well, no Nightwing this week, but that’s probably for the best. All three of the remaining comics were pretty good.
- 52: Week Ten: This was a definite improvement: Clark Kent needs to learn how to be a journalist and Black Adam needs a conscience. And it looks like Mr. Mind might be making an appearance. After many lackluster issues, this one seems to be back on track.
- Green Lantern Corps #2: A murder mystery in space! Interesting stuff with field autopsies and rookie mistakes. It still feels like NYPD Green, but that’s not a bad thing at all.
- Firestorm: The Nuclear Man #27: The mystery of Professor Stein’s disappearance is resolved. Unfortunately, the interesting fusion between Jason and Lorraine appears to be over, too (I think there could have been a lot more to be explored with that). But man, that Firestorm costume at the end of the comic is totally dorky.
No surprises at all this week, but the competition was very close. I expected 52 to be weaker than it ended up being, and Firestorm to be stronger.
