Time for the next five blogs in my blogroll, with comments.
- Comics Worth Reading
- I’ve been reading Johanna Draper Carlson for longer than anyone else on my blog roll: back in the good old days of USENET, back in the 90s (and perhaps even earlier). She was a constant presence on the rec.arts.comics newsgroups. She reviews a lot of manga and is responsible for my tentative buys in that area. Her movie reviews are like a microcosm of her site: every genre, variety of opinions.
- Continuity Blog
- I just love how DCUBoy has organized his reviews by character, so you can, for example, not only delve into why he liked Nightwing #121 as well as his opinions on all the issues of Nightwing he’s reviewed easily. I might disagree with his reviews, but I enjoy reading why he likes what he likes.
- Crisis/Boring Change
- I might go to this site for the comics, but I also think Chris Tamarri’s Permanent Records, his thoughts on his favorite 52 albums, one per week.
- Dance of the Puppets
- Who can forget Fashion Disaster Week? Pure comedy gold. But Marionette also tackles much more serious issues, like the prevalence of rape in the stories of so many female heroes. Her post about Dr. Light’s depowering is also very insightful.
- Dave’s Long Box
- David Campbell has way too many comics. He’s also got so many series of posts that it makes my head spin: the "Dude Looks Like A Lady" week (my favorite: the Martian Manhunter), the "F*@% YEAH!" files (Megaforce Go!), and so much more. This blog simultaneously excites and scares me.

[...] Very neat to see Vincent at Spandex Justice going though his blogroll and talking about what blogs he reads and what he enjoys about them. (And thanks very much for including mine!) [...]
