I do like the new animated Legion show, but this episode seemed a little contrived: basically, the Legionnaires investigate a haunted spacecraft living through holographic simulations, and become trapped when they let their fears overcome them. So Bouncing Boy’s love of old horror movies is turned upon him, and Saturn Girl apparently is afraid of roller coasters. So, one by one, they get picked off, with only Brainiac 5 and Superman left.
And, for the second week in a row, we get the "If I do this, I might die" speech (last week, it was Phantom Girl, this week, Brainiac 5). It starts to ring a little hollow when they play that card too often. That, combined with the rather pedestrian plot (and the solution, which is basically "wreck things"), didn’t thrill me. The episode was a clunker.
Still, the look of the cosmic storm at the start, and the various technical aspects of the episode were still top-notch, and the voice work continues to be excellent.

I wasn’t quite as disapointed in this ep as you were, but that may be because I read your review before finally getting to see the ep on tape, and thus had lowered expectations. Not a great ep by any stretch of the imagination, but the faux horror movie titles made my chuckle, and the appearance of Coluans was interesting. But, honestly, at this point each episode I see is just marking time until the appearance of the Subs.
