On this Valentine’s Day, here are seven reasons why I love the Manhunter from Mars.

1. J’onn’s fashion sense makes comics nerds look coordinated.
2. Ability to transfer his consciousness into his hand makes for a great parlor trick.
3. He loves Oreos, just like me.
4. Could kick the butts of any other green superhero or villain.
5. Disturbingly attractive as a woman.
6. Looks good in the red cross-your-heart man-bra.
7. He’s from frickin’ Mars!
