Zombie Easter: 2008

Another year, another Zombie Easter. For background, you can see what I did in 2007 (a bad Zombie Easter year), and in 2006 (a much better year). Each year, I celebrate the most famous zombie of all: Jesus. This year, I’ll be doing the following:

Watching Resident Evil in HD. Zombies and Milla! I know it is a bad movie, but c’mon, zombies and Milla!
Playing Last Night on Earth, a fun zombie game. Dibs on the zombie side!
Waiting to see what Polite Dissent has in store for Peeps this year. The Legion of Super-Peeps will be hard to top.
I also tend to watch Godspell on Easter, because watching Jack Bristow from Alias dressed as a hippie Superman reaches me deep in my atheist heart.

Two of the signature NPC heroes in the City of Heroes online roleplaying game got married on Valentine’s day:

I wasn’t able to attend: my hero was keeping the city safe while the festivities were going on, but for those interested, you can read the comic book version of the wedding. Everything’s there: amusing set-up, villains attack, humorous ending. It’s no Donna Troy/Terry Long wedding, but nothing compares to that.

My Christmas Loot

Merry Christmas, all! Thought I’d share the loot I got this Christmas. For me, it was an Absolute Christmas. No, not the vodka. My wife, in her wisdom, got me the following:

I think I’ll keep her. We also picked up one of those Xbox 360 consoles: she’s been having fun with Viva Pinata and Crystal Quest, while I’ve predictably been playing Superman Returns (so far, a fun game, though it froze when I completed the second level, so I’ve got to start over. Whee).

Mrs. Spandex Justice ended up with a new computer monitor and an iPod. I always go with the gift of silicon.

City of Heroes: The Carnival With Guns

I don’t think I’ve mentioned that I play City of Heroes now and again. Every once in a while, something in the game amuses me. Today, it was logging in to find that the mystical Carnival, a villain group in the game that harnesses magic as a weapon, seems to have changed tactics a bit.

This would be like Dr. Fate or Dr. Strange deciding to use M-16s instead of their ancient magicks.
